i saw the most hilarious thing...prashants was flying in for an interview tomorrow so i met him at his hotel to grab some dinner. he checks in and whatever, and we go up to his room and drop off his stuff (15th floor) and take the eleveator back down. it stops at the 6th floor and there is this woman in a black long sleeve shirt and NO PANTS standing there! we're like, "going down?" as she's just standing there in front of the open elevator doors doing nothing... she stops, stares and says, "uh . yeah....". she stepped halfway into the elevator (she looks so drugged up!!) and stops, then gets in finally! she presses 5, the elevator doors close and go down one floor and reopen. me and prashant are looking at each other wondering if she has ANY UNDERWEAR ON (her shirt *just* covered her bum!) The doors open and for a few seconds nothing happens..but she eventuallys stumbles out and walks off. it was so bizarro!

(March 24th)

ok. it's been a while.... made it out to L.A. to see josh and lenore and pavi and sadie. it was a nice relaxing weekend... just walked around with them and talked and stuff. the weather was SO MUCH better than here in nyc

watched a lot of tv (i mean a lot!) and like, how many times can the AOL commercial come on??? SPAAAAM!  anyways, i'm gotta head back once josho closes on the house and gets settled in at his own place

had a great weekend just last. prashant decided to come down to ... got down fairly early from boston on friday night, llewllyn and hector came over for some good times playing cards (hector burning us) drinking and talking... the best line of the night was when hector got busted out and prashant yelled out "you just got looted like the third world country you're from!"  this was preceded by the a trip to the local projects bodega with prashant for beer... a lot of people smelt like beer

saturday was a chill day. got up not too late. finished a bit of the incredibles from the night before. jetted on down to the les for brunch. beautiful day sitting out on the patio in the sun drinking mimosas/screwdrivers and eating. hopped on over to the MoMa to meet up with llewllyn (yah free tickets from GS!) so many hot girls there!!! down to the apple store for them to pick up some accessories for their iPods... llewellyn had to jet home to see the wifie and me and prashant ended up walking over to the Angelika where prashant was like "is oldboy playing" well, it was... and... uh.. yeah... see at your own risk

anyways, freezing out asses off found a bar (barrimundi) on rivington. great time talking with the bartender erica (trivia : what is the capital of australia? <-- this is hard without the internet!). the first thing prashant says to her is : "Are you Irish" lol.... although she did pick out that I was canadian :| darnnit! i tried to lose my accento! got home after grabbing pizza (so classic prashant) and then off to bed...

sunday, prashant drove to the UES, i parked his car over on 73rd and broadway, (note. he left at 11:05 for a 11:30 appointment, his car has had the gas light on since he hit the BQE on his way down, i DO NOT want to think about parking it..) he took 40 minutes to get across the park to meet up for brunch @ SQC (again classic prashant)... then driving around looking for some gas! loop-de-loop after loop-de-loop (local, west side highway north, first exit off west side highway back south) found some, got back to my place, finished watching the incredibles and then he took off to get back to boston...

i missed out on my usual 36+ hours of weekend sleep... but it was great to have him come down!

it came. it went. there was much @o@

went out with eugene to B&H, dropped on by the west village where we walked on over to Gray's Papaya, then over past magnolia (up beford/bleeker) and then down hudson for a bit. made it over ot john's pizzeria for dinner and then back home.

*sigh*

had dinner tonight with eugene, powers and moulding @ agave. name is much to live up to, and alas, it didn't appeal to me that much. maybe it's because our waitress kept pouring too much beer, walking away, and then not seeing it overfoam onto the table top

but like, omfg, why are there so many beautiful people at Tao? I just stopped by to show Eugene after doing some shopping (he got a shirt from Dunhill) and like, WOW. i wish i could go to places like that

but heung and laura are coming next weekend! woo WOO!

dammit, i missed neko case at the bowery ballroom last night. i just totally forgot (plus i was sleeping all day to catch up) and i was playing WoW

good weekend though i think. made it out to mcsorleys with eugene, ben and michael for a few beers and then over to wallstreet on saturday night. lots of WoW. hmmm... wow. that sounds like quite a lame weekend in retrospect

so it's been a bit since i wrote anything down.... well had this big dinner last friday at saka gura where hector finally unveiled his new gf. had a really fun time. he invited all his friends and eugene came along too. that place has got to be one of my favourite spots here (even though i've only been three times) but it's just something about it. the japanese feel. the service. the saki. maybe it's the cute asian girls who are always dining/drink there  :|

saturday was spent 14 hours in front of my computer playing WoW which is great btw. i have a new hobby to kill my non-working non-sleeping hours now!

superbowl sunday at teresa's after dropping by the office (and dropping by steve's apartment to lend him my projector). damn i loved that first careerbuilder.com . "uh, there's no one on the the other line. THE PHONE DIDN'T RING. it didn't ring! .... i'm working with a bunch of monkeys" GOL oh. i fell asleep on our sofa at the office for an hour and a half  i just kinda passed out there ... sooo comfy....

ooh and it was like birthday week this week with larry and laura. marky burns is coming up too! what a great month this ole february

so after tuesday's hour train ride home and 11:35 arrival, i gots out of work at 6 the next day! i got home so early i didn't know what do

so thursday, things are looking good, eugene's phoning me in the middle of the day asking what to do for dinner (since he's leaving fairly early, that slacker!) and i'm like wanna go out for steak or pick some up and cook em at home? after some reasonable advice (it's too cold outside to be walking around) i'm like, yeah, pick some up and i should be out by 6:30 or so. anyways, around 6:30 i'm half-way done closing our curve and doing all that shit i do at night. got into this long and difficult conversation (aka argument) and blah blah blah, it's 8:35, i gotta close the curve, i'm steaming and vish is still putting in tickets. anyways, he ends up (or pat did) f*cking up a whole shit load of treasury positions and what not. so it's like 11pm before we get out of there, and vish is gonna drive me home so i can *finally* take home my two 19" monitors i ordered through the office. as we walk down to his car, he gets a ticket. first incident. next we're driving along (and it's late as sh**) and he's not. you're not going to believe this but i need gas (indicent #2) :| (this happened the last time he drove me from the office as well!) wandering around the upper east side find one...  drive down, turn on a street to get on the fdr and there's traffic so we're stopped for about 10 seconds. we're having this conversation about music, dire straits and neil young, and then *bam* MAGGIE REAR ENDS US. there's not much damage but vish's car is a rental so he's like, uh, need to exchange information, it's 11:30, we're standing outside with this stupid woman in the FREEZING COLD and her excuse is "uh, like everyone *just* stopped"  sigh. anyways, i finally get home at midnight, lug  my two monitors up to the 7th floor via the stairs. needless to say i didn't make it home for a steak dinner

but they're not very good  somehow i just can't manage to capture or frame a shot with my little sd-10 like i could with my old pentax...
